In 5' walk you can reach the National Museum. The loft is ideally located to walk around in the city, it is situated on Damascus Road, a straight street taking you to Downtown Beirut (martyr's square). The flat has hot water and electricity 24/h, very high speed internet compared to Beirut's standards, a secure entrance to the building and very practical shopping areas around. It is 5' walk to local supermarket (Fahed). My parents live in the building, one floor above and they can help out with anything urgent you might need. It is a lovely family building and the neighbors will make you feel at home. The house is professionally cleaned before and after you leave. You will have your own private key. The kitchen is equipped with high tech brand new oven, coffee machine (Illy), gas, toaster, boiler and cooking tools. In the room there is a brand new flat tv with access to dvd player and tv cable as well as to an iPod external speakers. Guests feel at home and they can access anything in the flat as long as they treat it like it was theirs... Upon request and for long duration stays you can request a cleaning service for 7$ /hour. If I am around or else, my parents (living in the building) will welcome you and arrange to give you the keys upon arrival. I speak Arabic, French, English, Italian and Portuguese ! It is a popular area and you get a nice sense of the city. It is just 10' away from the busy areas of Mar Mikhael and Gemmayze that are very very easily accessible with a service or taxi ride. You can have a quiet time and be close to the restaurants, bars, shopping and touristic areas of Badaro and Ashrafieh and downtown in a few minutes walk or service ride. Use Uber ! And my flat is almost on Damascus road, an ideal street to hop on and off a service cab ! Public buses (3 lines) pass by Damascus road, just under the flat. The flat has a very high speed internet connection, which is very rare for Beirut.
